hi, i’m Tess.

I grew up in Boulder, Colorado, USA - a mountain town full of nature lovers, movement enthusiasts, and spiritual seekers. My grandmother, a practical mystic and life-long student of comparative religion, first sparked my search for deeper truth, presence, and love. The first place this curiosity sent me was the world of music and sound. Later it guided me to conscious movement, meditation, Tibetan Buddhism and Classical Tantrik Yoga. In recent years, I have been living in South Asia and exploring these wisdom traditions in their home.

My body has always been my greatest teacher. My struggles with health and chronic pain have guided me to the practices and wisdom of Yoga many times. My experience of body-mind healing through Yoga led me to study Anatomy, Psychology, and Movement Science in relation to yogic and somatic practices, along with various healing modalities including Natural Movement, BMC Somatics, Neuro-biomechanics, Myofascial Release, Ecstatic Dance, Sound Healing, and Yoga Nidra.

I see movement as a pathway to embodied presence, and the ancient teachings of Yoga as maps to remembering our true nature. My classes weave together yoga asana, therapeutic movement, Somatics, soundscaping, mantra, and non-dual yoga philosophy.

“Tess builds a peaceful vibration in the room, with skillful guidance and masterful sequencing that can only come from someone who holds innate gifts AND has a deep and well-studied yoga practice. Her breath and heart-centered classes offer so much more than a physical practice - she creates a true healing space for purifying the mind, body and spirit.”
