Many schools of Somatics are rooted in the view that freedom lives in this moment, as it is, in all of its flavors. It’s not about feeling good all the time, or transcending the body, but about coming into relationship with what is actually here.

The body is always here, so the senses become a doorway into first-order reality - the raw, unfiltered experience before the mind has something to say about it.

This human experience is living, breathing, and ever-changing in ways that the mind would love to understand and control, but the sensory body is in the now β€” smelling, touching, tasting, feeling and moving with this moment.
